Allianz Legal Protection (ALP) is part of Allianz Insurance plc, which is one of the largest insurers in the UK and is part of the global Allianz Group one of the world's foremost financial services providers.

ALP has been a leading specialist legal protection insurer in the UK since its inception in 1986, initially providing a wide range of before the event insurance and then expanding into the after the event market in 2000 since when it has gone on to become the market leader.

ALP offers a range of personal and commercial legal protection products through appointed intermediaries as well as through specialist schemes for solicitors and affinity groups.

At the heart of ALP are our underwriting skills. We pride ourselves at being able to deliver high quality products and service specific to you and your clients’ needs.

In 2005 ALP was Legal Expenses provider of the year at the Insurance Times Awards, and a finalist again in 2006 & 2007.
