The Legal Expenses Market

Allianz Legal Protection (ALP) - known previously as Lawclub - started trading in the market in 1986 with a full range of Legal Protection Insurance products, entering into the After the Event (ATE) market in 2000.

The Legal Expenses Insurance Market has seen many changes in the last few years. The introduction of After the Event saw many new entrants join the market place and then leave again when the ATE market experienced a downturn in 2003.

Whilst areas of the Before the Event (BTE) market are maturing, there is growth potential in the BTE family market, with an untapped market potential of 37% or 9 million, as consumers begin to realise the huge benefit of BTE legal expenses.
